Existing donors

If you are writing a check (preferred method for $1000+ to save on fees):

  • make it payable to "80-20 EF"
  • include your email in memo line (without it, you implicitly choose not to receive tax-deductible receipt)
  • also indicate purpose of the check, "SELF" or "100k petition"
  • mail it to: Katy Woo, 5 Farm House Road, Newark, DE 19711
  • Note: for checks less than $250, the donor will have to keep the returned check to use as the equivalent of a tax receipt.

Please be aware of the following ways to donate to a tax exempt organization like 80-20EF:

  • Matching Gift: Big companies like Boeing and Adobe have "Employee Matching Gift" program. Please inquire if your company has such a program. See bottom of page for example companies.

  • Stocks: A huge increase in the value of stocks will cause you a lot of tax when you cash them in. If you give them to 80-20 EF, you get the full value of the stocks intax deduction.

  • Real-Estate: Huge tax value to you. For details consult us. Email S. B. Woo.

  • Bequeath: Again huge tax value to you. For details consult us. Email S. B. Woo.

Using PayPal vs Checks

We've created a PayPal tutorial page to help donors navigate through the PayPal payment process.

We discourage the use of checks due to processing burden involved. So consider donation by check only for amounts larger than $250.

If you must use check, please note that for checks less than $250, the donor will have to keep the returned check to use as the equivalent of a tax receipt.

Community Aide Fund One-time Donation

This is for donation to the 80-20EF Community Aide Fund, a special account that responds to needs of particular individuals in our community, including individuals such as Sherry Chen or Prof. Xi, who are suffering the consequences of injustice.

If you are a first time donor to 80-20EF, please set up an account at Donor Account Page where you can enter your information, and find out your pledge/account status in the future.

Please use the PayPal button below for the most efficient way to donate, after you have setup your account.

Using checks, payable to "80-20EF, SELF"

Per IRS requirement, you are donating to 80-20EF without designating individual names, and trust that 80-20EF will act in the best interest of all involved. So if you want to send a check, it must NOT contain the name of any intended recipient anywhere, even in the memo. You must include your email-address in the memo line if you want a tax receipt. Please set up an account at Donor Account Page before you mail out your check.
